The IamIP provides 4 different ways of searching, simple search, fielded search, flexible search and command line searching.
All 4 support non-latin character search, search history queries, cross-lingual searches and semantic search. The last 3 also support wild-card searches.
Simple search is search only for one classification, keyword or publication number.
Field search lets you combine several fields together, such as applicant's name, keywords or classification search into one structured search. Also introducing Boolean operators.
Flexible search lets you combine several fielded search into one to further develop the field search possibilities to further enhance your patent searching. With the possibility to add Boolean operators.
Command line is our most flexible way of searching providing proximity operators along with the Boolean operators. It is also possible to combine several fields and search areas into one using the command line search.
The DOCDB simple patent family data and the INPADOC extended patent family data. The DOCDB simple patent family data is the basis of the family data.
Possibility to store several hundred patents into one container and then analyze the data to see trends, developments and get further statistical data to put you ahead of your competitors.
Monitoring profiles are saved searches that run automatically after a database update and provide you with patents according to your new definition (e.g. only the first invention, all new patents granted, registration of the same invention in other countries).
If you would like to monitor individual patents to see whether, for example, they have been granted or have expired because the fee has not been paid, you can set up a legal status watch for these patents.
Both are possible within the IamIP system.
Advanced way of collaborating with your co-workers by sending tasks to each other and updating patent families with user data such as tags, 5 star rankings and comments. Receive reminders and set deadlines to ensure full traceability in regards to your IP work.
Share containers containing relevant patents to be able to work together in the same container to make sure nothing gets lost. No need for other systems, it can all be done within the IamIP system.
Two different wildcard operators are possible. The "?" as a one character replacement wildcard and the "*" asterix to ensure that the searches contain all possible grammatical conjugations.
