Similarity words related to keywords entered by users can be used in a search query. Semantic search is available only in Japanese.
PatentSQUARE originally standardizes application number in world contents which have expanded documents around DocDB.
Both data can be searched, displayed and analyzed.
Search results can be analyzed in PatentSQUARE both graphically and statistically.

PatentSQUARE mainly provides 4 types of patent map which are Matrix map, Citation map, Family map, Value based score map. For example Matrix map display the summary of search results graphically.
Users freely can customize the horizontal axes, vertical axes and diagonal axis to create charts.
・Statistical
PatentSQUARE offers 2 types of statistical analysis which are simple analysis and Value based score. For instance Value based score displays the document lists sorted by important order.
Those charts and analysis are downloadable and shareable.
It provides alerts to track new patent application and changes of legal status. Users can receive the notification by e-mail.
Up to 100,000 patent documents can be downloaded on PatentSQUARE.
PatentSQUARE has Workspace which can save and share the following data: document lists, search queries, maps, alerts and value-added information (Comments, ranking and categorizing by users with permission).
